Rajac 2026

Rajsko mowing is a traditional event held since 1892, on the first Sunday after Petrovdan. This event gathers mowers dressed in traditional peasant attire who compete in manual grass cutting on prepared plots. In addition to the competition, the program includes an exhibition of mowing tools, folklore performances, and cultural-artistic content, providing a unique atmosphere and preserving folk tradition.

The competition takes place on plots measuring 20×6 meters, where mowers cut in two passes. The cutting is judged based on speed and quality, and the winner receives recognition. Mowers must arrive with their own mowing equipment and wear mandatory traditional attire. The program also includes an exhibition of tools, folklore performances, and a trumpet orchestra concert. Events include traditional activities, hiking tours, and trail marking courses, with a focus on preserving and promoting the natural and cultural values of Rajac.
