Bukovački maraton 2026

Bukovac Marathon - The Long Route is a challenging hiking race held on Fruška Gora, starting and finishing in Bukovac. The route length is 47.8 km with a total ascent and descent of 1350 meters each. The trail is well-maintained and marked with a red and white hiking marker, passing by significant sites such as the Novo Hopovo Monastery, Old Hopovo, Grgetek, Krušedol, Velika Remeta, as well as Brankov Grave and Monument. The race is intended for experienced hikers and runners who want to experience the nature and cultural heritage of Fruška Gora.

The trail was mapped out in 2004 and last marked in 2014. The start and finish are in Bukovac at an altitude of 180 meters. The estimated time to complete the trail is about 12 hours. The trail is demanding and intended for experienced hikers. There are control points (CP) along the route. The trail race with a marked route and control points at attractive locations takes place on the second Saturday of September, starting at 9:30 AM.
